Oops, I'm late.
Yesterday was really fun! I helped my in-laws prepare a "fakes-giving" lunch... turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, all the best parts of Thanksgiving dinner, but in April :) It was all very tasty. The gravy was my main project and I think it turned out quite well!
After that, we went over to my parents' house for dinner. The food wasn't as extravagant, it was spaghetti, but my parents make REALLY good sauce. The best part of that was my cousin Jon and his wife Irene and their daughter Patricia drove up to hang out with us! Jon is in the army and they live a couple hours south of us, and I'm really glad that they were able to come up while we were visiting! Jon is leaving for Afghanistan in a month or two for an entire year so it's extra great that we could see them. My sister Rachel and her husband Jonathan were there too.
We had a lot of fun talking about the good old days and how crazy our family is. My awesome dog, Ivan, looooved Patricia but she was kinda scared of him. She was even more scared of Rachel's dog, Davey. But we told her that Davey was Dora (the Explorer) and Ivan was Boots and that helped her warm up to them. It was pretty adorable. Every time Ivan would walk in the room she would point and say "it's Boots!"
I've gotta get to a dentist appointment, so I'll wrap this up. I'll blog again tonight.
