Freedom is so close, I can taste it...

Last week of work before the break! It's like the excitement that leads up to the weekend, except on crack.

Actually, finals start on Thursday and nobody really needs services from me so I am good to go after Wednesday! However, we are staying for the dedication of the new giant conference center, which is Friday morning, then we're leaving BEFORE the crack of dawn on Saturday morning. We did manage to find a girl to ride with us! Her name is Lesley and she's really nice. Due to where she lives and our desire to avoid Snoqualmie Pass, we're just going through Portland. It's a little longer according to Google Maps, but I'm not too concerned. We've mapped out exactly which exits we're stopping at to get gas. It's pretty thorough, actually.

Man, I'm so ready for Christmas. Main St is decorated pretty adorably but it's nothing compared to downtown Seattle. Can't wait to see my friends and family and hit up my favorite restaurants! And other lovely Washington things.

Hopefully when we're there, I can finally get onto Nathan's bank account so we don't have to take money out of mine and put it into his when we need to pay bills, because that is really annoying. Then I can close my account with my stupid old bank. Also, we'll both have decent health insurance on January 1st! I can't wait to once more indulge my hypochondriac nature :)

Adorable fact about me: one of my favorite winter traditions is to make a cup of plain (very) hot chocolate and then use a candy cane to stir it up! It's so much tastier than any prepackaged mint hot chocolate could be!

I don't know if I'll get around to updating my blog again until the new year, so Merry Christmas :)
