Hello. Blogging it up now.
1. I passed my certification test for my job! I got a B+ for the whole course which is surprising because usually I fail every class I ever take ever because I don't do my homework. Although... nobody has ever paid me to learn things before, so maybe that's the key. I took the test last Tuesday and got my results on Friday and spent the intervening days stressing out and feeling like a complete moron. But it worked out so whatever! We made a cake. Did we? I don't remember. We made a cake sometime. We should make another one.
2. I started my job! It's awesome. I get a lot of downtime for now, which is quite lovely. I doubt this will last but all the same, I appreciate it at the moment. Monday was kind of ridiculous (one class I attended in which I was completely clueless and had nothing to type on and nobody told me what was going on so I just tape recorded the whole thing and then went home) but things picked up on Tuesday with actual typing, and I should get some technology--sans FreeCell and anything else fun or useful--to lug around in a hideous orange roller bag so I don't have to be dependent on my coworkers in the next couple of days. Run on sentences? Yes.
3. Nathan basically cleaned the whole apartment single-handed! He is so wonderful. He even did the laundry! I have the best husband in the world. There are countless other reasons why he's so great but presently I am just enjoying being somewhere clean and uncluttered :) Oh my gosh, he's cleaning right now!
4. I am adjusting surprisingly well to getting up early, go figure. I've been getting up at 8 (all of the classes I've had to cover so far have started at 9, awesome) and I have time to shower and eat something if I feel like it, which I usually don't, before heading to campus :) I hate showering at night so the whole having-time-to-shower is great. On Monday I had to drag myself out of bed after snoozing a few times. On Tuesday I snoozed once and then got up. This morning I got out of bed 10 seconds after the alarm went off and was ready to go! It was weird. I guess I've never consistently gotten up at a reasonable time before now. By the way, 5 AM for seminary is NOT reasonable.
5. Oh, we have internet in our apartment. That's nice, but I can tell that the ISP throttles the speed in the evenings which is frustrating when I'm trying to watch episodes of Hoarders that are streaming on Netflix. Also frustrating is the fact that we probably can't afford internet until next month but I need to be online pretty much all the time for my job, even when I'm off campus. Seriously, I am required to have my phone easily accessible when I'm working AND be signed onto Skype. All other jobs I've had have forbidden me to do both of those things. Kinda cool but weird. Either way, I need to be connected.
6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKsVSBhSwJg You don't have to come and confess, we're looking for you, we gonna find you, we gonna find you, so you can run and tell that, run and tell that, run and tell that homeboy, home, home, homeboy!
Wow! You're productive! Congrats on the test scores!!
